One-day pop-up space in NYC

A one-day pop-up is a launch, a drop, a press preview or a sample sale with a line. The space has to let you install, open and strike inside one booking, so the minimum hours matter more than the rate.

Most day bookings here carry a 10 to 12 hour minimum that covers install, open hours and strike. If you need a full day to build first, ask for an install day. Some spaces price it lower than an open day.

Questions

FAQ

How much does a one-day pop-up cost in NYC?
Day rates on the spaces here run from about $5,000 for one room of a Chelsea warehouse to $25,000 or more for a full-block SoHo floor, before fit-out and staff. Smaller storefronts elsewhere in the city ask from a few hundred dollars a day.
Can I set up the night before?
Often, yes. Ask for an install day or evening when you request dates. Some spaces price it lower than an open day.
Do I need a permit for a one-day pop-up?
A storefront sale by itself usually does not need a special city permit, but you need a New York State sales tax certificate to sell, and 75 or more people inside at once can trigger a temporary place of assembly permit. See our permit notes.

Send dates, size and the block you want. We send back storefronts that fit.
